First and foremost, I express my heartfelt gratitude to those who take the time to explore the content on this website. The strength of our collective voices lies in sharing this platform with others.
This message is not only on my behalf but also for those who have faced similar challenges in the past, those currently navigating the system, and those who encounter it in the future. Our fight is against a judicial system that perpetuates racial bias, profiling, and socio-economic polarization.
While the system may appear to smooth the surface of injustice, the undercurrent remains as detrimental and destructive as ever. We have to raise awareness and advocate for change. Let us come together to make a difference. I’ve made a promise to fellow inmates victimized by this system—to keep these conditions at the forefront of as many minds as possible.
Hidden Facts
To family, friends & business associates of Bob Somerville (aka the Philly man), who has been falsely accused of the intentional shooting of a Stockton firefighter while responding to a fire. This tragic incident occurred at 4:45 AM on 1/31/22, when the unannounced firefighter was mistaken for an intruder.
He and another firefighter attempted to gain entry by sawing through a metal roll-up door. The 17,500 square feet building with no windows and 16-inch thick brick walls make it impossible to identify who was trying to enter forcefully. Fearing for the safety & lives of my workers and myself – with no response to my verbal warnings, I discharge warning shots. Unfortunately, one struck a firefighter.
Please realize these facts that could have averted this tragic incident:
A.) The fire (via arson) occurred in a semi-trailer in the rear parking lot.
B.) Fire was initially reported by a passing motorist
C.) The firefighter team, led by a veteran officer (capt.), exercised no protocol
no siren on arrival, no bullhorn, no phone call, no knock on the door, no instructions to police to make contact with potential occupant, no directive to Bay Alarm to contact business owner, no response to verbal alerts.
With all these facts clearly in evidence, the DA’s office charges me with murder! Why would I call 911 for assistance and then assault the responder? My business has served this community for over 30 years. The DA’s total painting of me as a villain was disheartening and repugnant.
These circumstances necessitate my need for an attorney.
